CCP Games runs a test server, called Singularity, in order to test drive changes, fixes and new features and gather community feedback.
Its primary function is to provide a test environment as close as possible to the live environment of Tranquility. For this purpose, the Tranquility database is "mirrored" (copied) over to the Singularity server once every few months (or more often, if needed by the CCP Quality Assurance department). In order to test the performance of the server and client with many players at the same place (such as fleet fight situations), periodical mass testing events are being held on Singularity as well.
Test Server Resources
Information on how to connect to the test server and provide feedback can be found at the ‘Test Server Feedback’ section of the forums:
New and Reactivated Accounts
Newly created accounts and characters on Tranquility will only be available on the test server after a full mirror of the Tranquility database has been done. Older accounts that already have been mirrored to the test server and have been recently reactivated on the Tranquility live server will usually become active on the test servers as well about 1-2 days later, but longer delays of up to a week may occur at times. Should your account remain inactive on the test server despite having been activated on the Tranquility live server for some time, please ask for reactivation in the "Singularity: Requests for account reactivation" forum thread of the Test Server Feedback forum.
Test Server Customer Support
Due to the Singularity server’s nature – a test environment which may break at any point in time – the service is offered "as is." Bugs found should be reported preferably via the in-game Bug Reporting tool (located in the Help menu of the client) or via the Community website to receive developer attention. Support tickets from Singularity, however, are not answered or forwarded. Should you come across any non-bug issues on the test server, please leave your feedback within the "Test Server Feedback" forum.
