Connection failures with "Incompatible (Version)" or "Incompatible (Protocol)" error messages indicate that an incorrect client version is used to connect to the server.
This may happen if the client was started but not logged in before a game patch has been applied, the launcher has not yet updated the game after a patch, or if a Test Server client is being used to connect to the "Tranquility" Live server.
In order to successfully connect again, the client needs to be updated to the correct version:
* Close all instances EVE Client you may have open
* If the launcher does not update after all client windows have been closed then please restart the computer as there my be a stuck process preventing the launcher from updating the game client.
